Love will make you crazy. Vested in Culture/Epic Records signee Kat Dahlia returns today and trades "Gangsta" for glamour in the slick and stylish new music video for her latest single "Crazy," as she contemplates what may or may not be crazy concerning an ex-lover. The new song will appear on Cuban-American singer-songwriter and rapper's upcoming debut album, "My Garden," which features rap, hip hop and soul songs styles, and will be released come May.
The 23-year-old up-and-coming hip-hop artist, is known for her razor sharp lyrics and her unique, aggressive flow, has lots things in the pipeline for the first few months of 2014. The Glass John-produced track is far cry from her disturbing, yet socially conscious video “The High,” which highlighted the 4.8 million domestic abuse cases that plague the United States. And also we last saw Dahlia in an upbeat mood for her "Happy and I Know It" video, but that sentiment has pushed into more obsessive territory on her new song, "Crazy."
The Cuban songstress sings melodious lines about intense feelings being madly in love for someone who's just walked into her life and questions if her actions are insane. She sounds passionate about it, too. "Tell me what's going on I need to know," she delivers. "Cause I'm not trying to lose myself or lose control." It's a feeling that's been articulated for decades, so performing over a throwback instrumental isn't too left-field of an idea. The sly, clean guitar strums call back the R&B sounds of decades prior, as the descending piano keys slip into the hook to add a sense of soul.
Dahlia said in an interview about what can fans expect from new video: "The video we shot out in London. It was a great collaboration with [director] Rankin. The song is about a girl that's feeling vulnerable about liking a guy and trying to cope with her emotions, so we kind of captured that on-screen. I'm excited about it." In the fashionable clip, Dahlia showcases various emotions on why she's "crazy," and sings at a photo shoot mixed in with black and white shots of herself while showing off her affinity for fashion as she models glittery vintage dresses and dainty couture pieces on the streets and in a studio.

The N-Duz star Dappy has revealed the video for his debut solo single "No Regrets." The single is the first to be taken from his as-yet-untitled debut solo effort, out September 19 and the album is expected later in the year. The hat-loving rapper has now decided to pursue a solo career while bandmate and his cousin Tulisa taking on a new role as 'The X Factor' judge and Fazer embarking on his producing career. So Dappy is the first band member to release his own track.
"No Regrets" has all the essential ingredients required for a huge hit, including a killer key change and a gospel choir. "It's all about me as a person and explains why I've been so crazy and spontaneous," he told the Daily Star. In "No Regrets," the N-Dubz star namechecks celebs as diverse as Kurt Cobain, Chris Brown, Michael Caine and Richard Branson. And he even has a cheeky pop at the Royal newlyweds. The multi-talented Londoner writes, raps and sings his own songs, and with a song like this, his solo chart bid should be taken very seriously indeed.
The video, was filmed in Los Angeles earlier this year and shot by music video legendary director Benny Boom (Nicki Minaj, 50 Cent, R Kelly, and Snoop Dogg), is all high production value, posturing, side storylines and rooftops aka a really nice attempt to get some fans stateside. It has Dappy singing outside weatherboard houses and on top of LA skyscraper, and shows the story of a single mum turning her life around by training as a nurse and a boxer training to win a match.
The flight to LA must have been a lonely one as the 24-year-old UK rapper embarked on his solo journey, shooting the video for his debut single "No Regrets." You don't expect a conceptual, mini movie style video with Dappy and so for actors to play out the lyrics, It's a bit of a pleasant surprise. The lyrics are perfectly portrayed in a suitably emphatic video, nothing ground breaking about the visuals but it won't hinder the process of Dappy taking the top spot on the charts.

Flipsyde is a rap/R&B/rock band from Oakland, California. The band consists of singer/guitarist Steve Knight, guitarist Dave Lopez, rapper Jinho "the Piper" Ferreira, and recently singer Chantelle Paige. Flipsyde's single, "Someday" was chosen as NBC's theme song for the 2006 Winter Olympic Games held in Torino, Italy, and once again, their song "Champion" was chosen as the theme for the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China.
Recently it was announced through their MySpace that they had started touring with Akon, promoting their second studio album, "State of Survival," produced by Akon and Konvict Muzik, and set to be released in 2009. Based on ChantelleDaily.com, that unfortunately the album "State of Survival" is also the last album with Cherrytree Records (Lable mate), after Flipsyde’s mgt informed them that they were on a list of possible “drops” at Interscope, and it likely that they won’t be touring next month as planned, but they will remain friends who continue to support each other! This is going to be a shock to many friends and fans, but lets just remember that Flipsyde have had an amazing time working and touring together and will carry on supporting each other. Lets wish the guys the best of luck for the future and thank them for there amazing talent and for sharing there music with us.
I would like to share with you Flipsyde's single "A Change," which is the second official single off "State Of Survival" and was released on August 15. The song is written by Flipsyde and Red One. It’s also produced by Red One. To be honest, "A Change" sounds like any other pop song with very less signs of the original Flipsyde. Nevertheless, Steve and Piper save "A Change" from being a below average affair. The music video for song was shot in East LA in an old juvenille correction facility on June 17. In the video, the members of Flipsyde refurbish an old classroom for use. It's a powerful message to affect change in your local community. They are great spirits and the shoot was really inspiring. The video was exclusively premiered on Cherrytree Records site July 10.
