Boys Like Girls have released the video for the track "Be Your Everything," the first song taken off pop rock band's upcoming comeback third full-length studio album, "Crazy World," which reportedly is split between rock and dance, were clear in the MTV interview that they weren't making "a disco record," is expected to release this fall.
After returning from their brief hiatus, Boys Like Girls are back with a brand new sound that is exemplified perfectly in "Be Your Everything." They've got that same angsty charm as before, but now it's wrapped in pop melodies instead of punk ones. The quarter pop-rockers re-emerged at this year's Bamboozle performing several new songs from their upcoming record. It should come as no surprise that we have a little thing for Boys Like Girls and their makeout-able ballad, "Be Your Everything," which is set in a futuristic, post-apocalyptic world where "the world has littered itself to death."
The working title for “Be Your Everything” might as well have been “Two Is Better Than One.” It's another ballad, along the same lines as Taylor Swift's; the vocals keen up into falsetto and down into strength, and the guitars lilt the same way. The lyrics are what you'd expect–being on a mission to be shelter from the storm and your everything, you know how it goes. It is a perfectly competent, perfectly safe ballad, it's going to soundtrack a lot of relationships, and it is not risky at all.
The video isn't exactly what you'd think a video for a sweet, sentimental love song should be. It features the boys performing their new jam amidst the cinematic expanses of an apocalyptic desert, as frontman Martin Johnson searches for, and finally reunites with, his love interest. "I'm searching for life on the planet and there's one girl left and she's found the last flower on earth," Johnson told MTV News. "I don't know if it's love or procreation, or what it is but humanity will survive. We'll get through it." As they roam the town trying to find each other, puppy-dog-eyed glances are stolen until eventually the two connect and realize they were meant to be.

The indie pop/rock three-piece band The Downtown Fiction released their new music video for "Thanks For Nothing." This bitter-angst filled track is the lead single featured on the band's recently released debut full length, "Let's Be Animals," which was released in April. The video totally captures that post-breakup anger toward your ex!
The boys, who hail from Virginia, are letting their ex's know that they are doing just fine without them on this spiteful and catchy new song. "Thanks for Nothing" kicks off with an ominous echo of voices and a drum that is reminiscent of heart beating. However, these sounds quickly fade out, giving way to the buoyant, pop-rock blend of guitars, bass and drums. Lead singer Cameron Leahy's voice swells with the energetic and uplifting beat, which is ironic considering the song's lyrics.
Leahy told Alternative Addiction that he penned the song after a bitter ending of a relationship in the summer of 2010 following the band's tour with The Summer Set. "When I wrote that song I had just gone through a break-up so I had some inspiration," he explained. "It wasn't really even a song I was writing for the record. I just felt like it had to be written." The origins of this track lie in a love song about the same person prior to The Downtown Fiction leaving for tour. "I had written kind of the bones of the track before we left for tour, and that was prior to the break up," explained Leahy. "The lyric in the song was actually, 'the sun don't shine when you are not around,' and then after we got back from the tour [and had the break-up] I changed some of the lyrics around and added 'thanks for nothing' on the end of it. It's sort of funny how the song completely did a 180 as far as what it meant."
The Pop-punk trio get rowdy on curb of a street in their new music video. Shaking off an ex is never easy, but as the band's latest video finds out, it can practically drive you insane. The video kicks off with a girl breaking up with her BF, but then she can't get him out of her mind! She thinks she sees him everywhere - walking through record shops, Laundromats and other local stores, our frustrated, delusional protagonist begins to see Leahy, drummer Eric Jones or bassist David Pavluk in virtually everyone she encounters, and she goes and it drives her crazy! It's totally hilarious, but still really honest and truthful!

Vampire Diaries actress and budding singer Kat Graham continues to pursue her first love of music and has dropped a few, poppy-delicious singles, put together a scintillating music video for her latest single, "I Want It All." will be on witchy woman Graham's forthcoming, still-untitled album, which is set to be an infusion of Hollywood dance, underground culture, and European beats. The starlet puts on her superheroine outfit, struts through a desert and strives for world domination.
The poppy new single is produced by JR Rotem and is a mid tempo beat, which is intended to continue building the hype and anticipation for the upcoming release of Graham's debut album, scheduled to occur later in 2011. The buzz single "I Want It All" is pure sassiness with synth-pop beat, the fierce lyrics and killer bridge. Graham tells about the song at an interview: "We've got this setup single. Everything has been really taking its time, and I don't mind that, but 'I Want It All' is my first actual budget video. Everything else has just been me and my friends kind of winging it, so I'm really happy with the way it turned out. I wanted people to see it."
Perhaps channeling Mad Max, the 21-year-old wears a silver and black chain and crystal corset by The Blonds, and She's gone all wonder woman to get it in Lance Drake-Directed video for the synth-heavy, clubby tune, which was shot on a reserve in San Bernardino, is reminiscent of a Ke$ha tune features the songstress strutting through the desert in while donning several outfits, and oozing confidence for the world domination. The video is visually stunning and starring Graham and a bunch of old televisions and a desert. It conjures a few words to mind - things like fashion, superhero, and vintage.
Graham told Entertainment Weekly exclusively: "The video represents freedom in self sufficiency. Freedom to dream, to have it all while channeling Barbarella and Kat woman [sic]." While "I Want It All" features no other people besides Graham herself, she does have an interesting non-human co-star: a tiger. The best moments come at the end, when Graham breaks it down amid a sea of televisions, before she literally starts breaking the TVs down with a chainsaw. And then, there's a trippy, club-esque interlude that's tons of fun, too. Graham will be starring in "Honey 2 " in theaters this August.

Michigan punk-pop quintet Every Avenue are out with the music video at MTV.com, and released as part of Indie Music Month, to their new track "Mindset," which is the third single taken from the group's sophomore studio album "Picture Perfect," out 2009 on Fearless Records. It's been a minute since we last heard from the guys, who released videos for "Tell Me I'm A Wreck" and "For Always, Forever" last year.
The new video for "Mindset" is a hilarious nod to Pop punk outfit Every Avenue's prepubescent female fan base, as the band members become the kidnapping victims to an overly enthusiastic young lady. With the acumen and stealth of a professional hitman - make that hitgirl - the fan employs her Fisher-Price "My First Stalker" kit to snatch each band member and hold him hostage. Pizza, poison arrows and the band's own CD are all used against them, culminating in a forced rock show in a very pink bedroom.
The video was directed by Jason Letkiewicz, and was actually shot by college students at Ringling School of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida. Every Avenue has an unlikely stalker and get kidnapped by an adorable fan in their new video for "Mindset," which entails a little girl set out to capture the band to keep as her own. Will the guys are able to escape at the end?
Every Avenue has been gaining international recognition with their unique blend of euphoric pop rock since signing to Fearless Records four years ago. The band has had their music featured on MTV's "The Real World," and toured internationally with Boys Like Girls, Metro Station, All Time Low, Mayday Parade, Never Shout Never and The Maine as well as appearing on Vans Warped Tour. The pop rock quartet We The Kings recruit Demi Lovato to help capture childhood fun in "We'll Be A Dream" music video, which premiered on MTV yesterday. Despite the chaotic scene resulted from 'a feathers battle,' people are quite enjoying themselves as they put on huge smile in this video. It's a gorgeous glimpse at an I wanna live forever night and a look at the kind of fight that everyone wins. The tune is served as the second single off We The Kings's sophomore studio album "Smile Kid," which has hit the market since December 2009.
We The Kings are an unapologetically commercial pop-punk band hailing from Bradenton, Florida have made a name for themselves with over 55 million plays on MySpace alone. They are currently signed to the independent label S-Curve Records. Lovato is edging it up a bit for her pop-rock song with We The Kings to follow up her recent duet with boyfriend Joe Jonas, "Make a Wave," for the eco-conscious film "Oceans." Lovato will also appearance on upcoming episode of Grey's Anatomy in May 13.
The mid-tempo ballad track is about young love and two people sharing their dreams of making it big someday, depicted in the video as a dreamy escape into a world of pillow, water balloon and food fights. The video was shot in Elysian Park in Los Angeles earlier this year and includes a live performance scene from the Travis Clark-fronted band.
Lovato first appears in the clip walking through the forest with feathers flying as the teens laugh their way through a pillow fight. She then hits the stage and lends her vocal for a performance of the song, while lustful glances are exchanged between two teens in the audience in the midst of the craziness going on around them. The partygoers settle down and simply start enjoying the song. Lovato appears to settle into her role as rocker, while she and the band's lead singer, Travis Clark, smile and have a good time onstage.
