David Archuleta has just released a music video in support of his latest sensational new love song "I'll Never Go," the second single taken from the American Idol Season 7 runner-up's fourth studio OPM-album, "Forevermore," a collection of all original Filipino classic love songs, has been in stores since spring.
The OPM, or Original Pilipino Music, refers to pop songs–particularly ballads from the late 70s on–made famous by some of the country's most popular singers. "I wouldn't say that I sound better than the original singers because the singers here are so amazing. But I would hope that I could pay tribute to them with this album," Archuleta once said. The new ballad, which might be Archuleta's best song yet, and is sure to get tons of radio airplay this summer.
The 21-year-old soul singer is currently on a Mormon mission, and his content is rolling out at a slow pace in order to space things out before he returns. In March, the half-Honduran singer had another surprise for his fans: he announced he was cutting his Bieber-esque locks in favor of a more conservative look. "Just about to go get my haircut for my mission. You have to keep it short and clean, and nicely cut, so I'm going to go do that now," the singer said at the time.
The clip for "I'll Never Go," was filmed in Manila, back when Archuleta was still in the country, and is more than effective of achieving some great emotion despite being relatively simplistic in structure. The runner-up of 'American Idol' season 7 continues to promote his album "Forevermore," before moving on to his next studio installment called "BEGIN." He re-records singles by such artists as Christina Aguilera, Sarah McLachlan, Cyndi Lauper and U2 for the effort. Among the cover songs, there is one new material called "Broken," which he wrote himself.

The title track for album is a lovely ballad that lets Archuleta make great use of the top end of his range. The 21-year-old musician keeps the clip simple by filling it with footage of him singing the ballad song to the camera in various places of a homie setting. Archuleta thanks his fans for everything they've done for him since he first appeared on American Idol four years ago. "It's like you guys have brought me on this journey, and I appreciate being able to share everything that I've learned and experienced with you guys because of you guys if that makes sense."

American Idol runner up David Archuleta has premiered the new video for "Wait" exclusively on Channel [V]HD on Christmas Day. Produced by [V] Entertainment, the video was shot in Hong Kong at the beginning of November during his trip to Hong Kong. The track is one of the bonus tracks featured on the 21-year-old musician's Asian Tour Edition of his newest album, "The Other Side of Down."
With Archuleta's recent announcement that he will be taking a break from the music scene for two years as he goes on a Church of Latter Day Saints mission, fans have been trying to take in as much of Archuleta as they possibly can before he leaves. "I've chosen to serve a full-time mission," the 20-year-old musician said during a concert in Salt Lake City. The 19-year-old Utah native expressed undulated excitement while preparing to release his new video to his fans. "Everything seems like it's a challenge," he said in a recent video blog. "Everything needs to be a little bit difficult and a little challenging before it can come together."
Taking about new upcoming new album, "I'm really looking forward to releasing this album. Most of the songs on the album represent thoughts and experiences that I've personally gone through," says Archuleta. "I hope this album helps people understand more of where I'm coming from as an artist and as a person. It's about moving forward in life, making progress in accomplishing your goals and dreams while appreciating what life has given you."
