The massive trifecta of Scottish deejay Calvin Harris, fellow Swedish DJ Alesso and British synthpop duo Hurts' frontman Theo Hutchcraft have teamed up and unveiled the official music video for their collaborative huge progressive anthem, "Under Control," which will be released on November 24. The video is colorful, vivid, and entertaining. The trio lark about as the apocalypse draws near, and it answers anyone wondering what these guys would do if the world was ending.

The track was originally premiered at Alesso's set in Ibiza at the beginning of August, which was broadcast live on BBC Radio 1. Alesso originally revealed the collaboration back in May, tweeting that the song is "sounding big." The track is a true Euro club banger, with a relentless 90s house beat and rave synths forming the foundation beneath Hutchcraft's trademark melodramatic vocals, while while Harris and Alesso deliver a masterpiece of musical production, with epic builds that climax into a burst of synergistic energy.
The banging EDM adventure "Under Control" has that perfect medium that isn't too chill, but still makes you bounce as you listen. As is normally the case with EDM anthems, they get even better when paired with a good video. You can find all three guys featured in the 'end of the world' style music video as they head into the big city for one last show before the meteor to destroy Earth hits. And of course, they pick up a couple ladies along the way to help them party the right way during their final hours on Earth.
Shot in Los Angeles, and featuring phenomenal vocals from Hutchcraft, the accompanying music video depicts a meteor coming to Earth and all three artists looking moody, pissing about and performing live in the face of the oncoming apocalypse as we see the trio brace themselves for a meteor strike by playing a gig in a limo with girls they picked up on the side of the road to mark the end of the world.  After a few tense seconds, we're treated to a happy twist ending perfect for the uplifting tune.

Ahead of their appearance at this weekend's Glastonbury festival, Manchester synth-pop duo Hurts are back and have revealed a brand new video for their latest single, "Somebody To Die For," the third cut, follow-up to recent singles "Miracle" and "Blind," to be lifted from their latest Top 10 sophomore effort, "Exile." Revealing the video on their official Facebook page, the band said: "Special thanks to the beautiful people of Slab City, California for the magical few days we spent making it. A true wonder. Enjoy..."
Formed in 2009, UK electro-pop duo Theo Hutchcraft and Adam Anderson look like they would be on the cover of Vogue with their sharp suits, slick hair and stark visuals. The pair have been compared to Tears for Fears. Their music is elegant and mysterious Hurts released their first single "Better Than Love" and toured the UK and Europe during the summer of 2010. "Somebody To Die For" is the follow-up track to the singles "Blind" and "Miracle," with "Miracle" receiving strong support from the likes of Huw Stephens and Zane Lowe at Radio 1 with the band performing the track on the Jonathan Ross show.
While "Blind" was crowned Record of the Week at Radio 2 with 'Hurts' recently performing the track on the Graham Norton show. The new single "Somebody To Die For," co-written by band members Hutchcraft and Anderson and produced by Grech-Marguerat, is a dramatic and passionate track that builds into a huge emotional chorus and is a firm favorite from new album "Exile." The track will be releasing on July 21st. The clip comes in the lead-up to the duo's appearance at Glastonbury Festival this weekend. The visuals keep up with Hurts’ usual dark and emotive theme and showcase all that Hurts are known for, sharp suits, intense synth beats and fronman Hutchcraft's strong, emotive voice.
A rather more colorful offering then we're used to, don't be fooled; the tone of the clip is still crawling with darkness. The accompanying dramatic music video is typical of Hutchcraft and Anderson - it's dark, dramatic, emotive and wonderfully overblown. The clip sees the duo perform the track in the desert while surrounded by Christian iconography, as they carry a heavily religious theme with nuns, baptism, flaming effigies and more than a few shots of Hutchcraft striking a Jesus Christ pose.

Already having proved that they belong to one of the most sought-after bands in the 2010, British synth-pop outfit HURTS unveil an artistic video for the upcoming third single "Stay" taken from their recently released début album "Happiness." The single, which has been remixed by Full Intention (Michael Gray and Jon Pearn) and electronic music duo Groove Armada (Andy Cato and Tom Findlay), is a perfectly crafted pop song. And as usual and staying true to their nature, the visual counterpart of the song is just breathtaking. Not slowing down at all, the duo offers lasting impressions of Iceland's beautiful landscape.

Musically, they construct melancholic 1980s-inspired electro-pop with songs that they say are inspired by the British mentality of being "not too bad."
Their new single "Stay" is perfect for the season and comes along with an impeccably styled video. Once again they've released another visually beautiful and moving video to accompany another one of their great tracks. The beautifully shot Bergman-esq video from those melodramatic marys HURTS, is powerfully artistic and shows off the some stunning landscapes of Iceland, where the video was shot. HURTS are following up their UK hit "Wonderful Life" with a great mid-tempo pop ballad "Stay," the video for which finds the duo brooding on a gray beach while beautiful blonde barefooted dancers in green flowing dresses twirl around them. It's a very "on a budget" affair, but a scenic one that somehow manages to appear both pleasant and dreary at the same time.
HURTS have made it, really. Critics are taking note, fans are raving and Italian fashion designers are eager to work with them. Their music make the tears well up—which has a lot to do with their new romantic sensibilities, it's respected by the critics and many are sure their début album will be among the best ones this year. HURTSS has a really distinct and unusual/unique sound. It's very contemporary, yet sounds timeless. They have a pop sound, but with some synth and new-age vibes. Their songs are very melodic and emotionally charged, and sung with great power and authority.
