Irish band The Script just revealed an on-set performance music video for "No Good In Goodbye," the second single from their fourth studio album, "No Sound Without Silence." You can always count on The Script for great lyrics and a catch melodic song, and their latest offering "No Good In Goodbye," is already a live singalong favorite, and sees the Irish three piece band opening up words and meanings and sentiments with characteristic The Script emotion.
There is nothing pretty about saying farewell for good to a person you care about. The emotional song details the difficulties in how one tries to get over heartbreak as the band seems to be beamed into space. According to The Script frontman Danny O'Donoghue, the band's material is made up of complex thoughts condensed down to really simple songs. He explained that with this track, "we wanted to put a twist on a word: where's the good in goodbye, where's the fair in farewell... Then we tried to make that into a lyrical idea, which seemed to work really well."
And the video, directed by Charlie Lightning, is an intergalactic experience. It begins with a light shining down on O'Donoghue as he sings of mistakes he's made in his previous relationship. "I can't take the ache from heartbreak," he belts. With neon lights projecting on O'Donoghue and his band, a hologram of women, played by Brazilian model Anna de Paul, are shown frozen in time. As he practices his apology on the woman he's done wrong she slowly comes to life. Does she forgive him? You'll have to watch to find out.

The Script head to South Africa for "Superheroes" music video. Instead of basking in the spotlight, the Irish mellow-rockers are turning the camera on others and celebrates the everyday heroes of the city and zones in on one in particular, a father on his workday in video for their lead single from Dublin trio's upcoming fourth album, "No Sound Without Silence," which the frontman Danny O'Donoghue has described as a "prequel" to their hugely successful debut, is out on September 15th via Columbia.
The Irish rockers continue to display its biggest strength - making pop music with heart and power two years after of the release of its third album "#3," including smash single "Hall of Fame." The new album is actually the sound of the Script firing on all cylinders. It was written whilst the band were touring in 2013 - they used a specially built mobile recording studio. "This album is all about trying to bottle that energy when we come off stage, as well as that contemplative space between notes," frontman said in a release about the album.
Like an origin story set to music, "Superheroes," traces the way people turn the pain into power. The ultra catchy song has a self-empowerment theme and was inspired by the elation that The Script felt after playing a sold-out stadium show in America. The song, which calls out people who are going through the hardest of times but can keep their head held high and have been fighting all their life and working day and night to make things work. The band tweeted that it's about the unsung heroes out in the world.
The heartwarming song with an equally inspiring video. Filmed in Johannesburg, South Africa, by Vaughan Arnell, the video celebrates the everyday heroes of the city and in particular follows an ordinary South African father's journey to provide for his kid, as he leaves his home, dressed in a suit as he says goodbye to his daughter, and travels to a local dump where he changes clothes to forage for his workday. The scenes are cut with sequences of Dublin trio performing on the street for locals. It's an uplifting and powerful video to an great an inspirational song.

Irish pop-rock band The Script reflect on the riotous evening of some young Irish drunkards in their brand new music video to their brilliant single, "Millionaires," the fourth single to be lifted from the Irish soft rock band's third studio album, aptly called "#3," which topped the Irish charts and is available to download right now. The Irish boys just finished their Asian leg for their "#3" World Tour last March and are set to perform back in Europe for the following weeks.
Following lead single "Hall of Fame," which features Black Eyed Peas' leader and record producer will.i.am, this Country style ballad "Millionaires," is the closing track of "#3" and it ends the album on an upbeat note as the frontman Danny O'Donogue sings of those precious moments spent with the one you love. "Walking these streets like they're paved with gold," he croons. "Any old excuses not to go. Neither of us wants to take that taxi home. Singing our hearts out. Standing on chairs. Spending our time like we are millionaires."
The Script's biggest problem here is that it sounds like plagiarism and there's no escaping it. Just when you think the similarities are going to stop, the chorus ends with a repeated 'aires' in a moment that will either make you laugh or drop your jaw with indignation. The only real difference between the two is O'Donogue's preference for stadium-friendly guitar licks, but that can't redeem that's being dogged by its own identity crisis. "Millionaires" is not an all-out belter like the previous singles, but this ode to youth and living on a shoe-string is a sure to be a anthem for the summer.
Known for their relatable and heartfelt lyrics, the video, set on an estate in London, features less of the band and rather focuses on two young lovebirds enjoying a night out with their group of friends as they wander around the streets of London making the best of what they can – yes, quite reminiscent of our sleepless nights and reckless youth. Armed with nothing more than a little ingenuity and light-fingered hands, the group manage to have a lot of fun, hit the pub to basically just to hang out, have a laugh and launch flares, as the trio sing along to the tune and roll out some pretty good lyrics.

Fresh off their spinning chairs, the Irish alternative rock band The Script have just released an inspiring music video for their new Will.i.am-assisted cut, "Hall of Fame," that serves as the lead single from their upcoming third studio album "#3," due out on September 10th in the UK. The single falls slightly flat on this point, resulting in a soft rock number that could easily have been an offering from The Script alone. However it's nice to see the Voice judges working together instead of against each other.
The Script provide a twist to their familiar sound on this single, collaborating with Will.I.Am' who adds a unique element to the song, which features elements of rap-rock and is uplifting and catchy. The inspiring track is about following your heart, your dreams, reaching one's goals and striving to reach the top, with breathtaking and faint inducing specimen of a music from "#3" album. The guitarist Mark Sheehan commented about the uplifting piano-led track: "We wanted to capture as much emotion in the track’s sound as there is in the lyrics, which are definitely some of the most positive and upbeat we’ve ever written."
Frontman Danny O'Donoghue decided to hook up with The Black Eye Pea rapper after the pair worked together as coaches on 'The Voice' UK. O'Donoghue explained to The Sun: "I played Will a few demos backstage early on in 'The Voice.' We got to 'Hall Of Fame' and he immediately asked if he could have it for his new album, as it was exactly what he was looking for. It starts out like a typical The Script track, with O'Donoghue's vocals over a piano, but then both the beat and Will.i.am kick in and it's clear the band have done their best to incorporate the Black Eyed Peas star's R&B roots.
The Script teamed up with Will.i.am shot the music video for "Hall Of Fame" in Los Angeles earlier this summer. The video features two different characters, each with their own goal. One is a boxer, the other is a ballerina. A great video for a great track. The inspirational video goes well with the theme of the song which is all about self empowerment and belief. The Script will make a triumphant return to the road in North America, kicking off their headlining tour on October 9 at New York's prestigious Radio City Music Hall.

This heart-rending tale of a love that once was, is the third single from Irish alternative rock band's recent No.1 sophomore album, "Science & Faith," which has an addictive blend of hip-hop rhythms, flowing melodies, sparkling hooks and poignant, story-spinning lyrics, with the lead singer Danny's mellifluous soulful vocals riding high over huge, anthemic choruses.

The pop rock song finds its protagonist retaining a secret hope that his lost love will return. In an interview with iVillage UK, Script member Glen Power was asked if they are a band of romantics. He replied: "The song's also reflective of us on the road, away from home and our families. But I do think creative people, in general, are romantic by nature." The Dublin trio impress once again with this heart-rending tale of love and loss, all the while showing that their hearts are as big as their choruses. Subtle hip hop inflections lend the lovelorn track a contemporary edge.
In the video, we watch the Irish outfit perform inside a circle of folding chairs representative of an alcoholics anonymous meeting or the like. This is intercut with the story of a woman being trapped in a world she can’t leave, but a loving stranger on the subway decides to step in and take her to a meeting to get help. The song is so touching on its own, and the accompanying video definitely does the lyrics justice.

The Script are back with a super-Irish video for their super-cheesy comeback single "For The First Time," the first single from the Irish alternative rocker's sophomore studio album "Science & Faith," which will be released in the United States on January 18. The new heartfelt tune pretty much falls in line with the trio's mega-hit "Breakeven," in that it's all broken hearts and power-balladry mixed with Coldplay-esque chords. Seeing as how The Script hail from Ireland and perform majestic pop-rock songs with soaring melodies.
For the past few years, the world has proven an extremely difficult place to live. The economy is in a downward spiral and unemployment rates seem to be climbing everyday. So after coming off of their international tour, Irish rockers had a difficult time being able to celebrate their success. In order to demonstrate their empathy towards people who are struggling to survive, The Script wrote the song "For the First Time." Although the heart-wreching song has a somber essence, the band wanted their song to end on a more positive note. "We needed a message of hope, as people are being stripped of all these things, they're realising what's really important," Frontman Danny O'Donoghue explained. "It's all about going back to basics, drinking cheap wine, eating your dinner off the floor. That's when you meet each other for the first time, when you have nothing."
The music video follows an Irish couple who have emigrated to United States in hope to get a better life but lives a hard life in New York, so decides to return to their homeland. The band's performance scene is also inserted in between the narrative footage. They actually cast U2 frontman Bono's daughter, Eve Hewson, as the lead in the video. "We were looking for a girl and we heard about her having just done a movie with Sean Penn and we took a look at the reel," said 'O'Donoghue. "She was perfect, quite young and had gone to America. She just fit the bill."
Over pulsing, electric rhythm guitar, O'Donoghue sings about getting through the tumultuous recession, and the effect it has on their lives, and relationships. The hopeful message from all this, is that sometimes these events can bring people closer together. A lot of popular music is influenced by the singer/band's own lives and experiences, which can often mean it takes time for an new album because, as Avril Lavigne's would say, she "needs to live in order to get inspiration for my lyrics." The Script's album was influenced by "recession-struck Ireland" than the actual song itself. They make such great music but the question is whether they’ll last or fade into oblivion like many other alternative acts that crossed over into mainstream for a short time.
