Victoria Justice has released the joyous and glossy music video for her debut solo single, the uber-catchy pop track "Gold," the lead single taken from her forthcoming debut album that's scheduled for release later this year via Columbia Records. The Nickelodeon star's absurdly likable new single "Gold" got an equally charming video treatment as she croons her sugary-sweet melody on the hood of a car, before showering her love interest with golden glitter and switching into a pair of sassy leather pants.
The 20-year-old Florida-bred singer-actress rose to tween idol status after starring roles in Nickelodeon shows like "Zoey 101" and "Victorious," honing her singing chops on the show's soundtracks. As Justice preps her post-"Victorious" music career, she feels this track not only sets the tone for her album, but has just enough mass appeal to keep all of her fans listening. "I think it's a song that appeals to all ages. And it is, like, a little bit edgier and a little more mature, but not anything that was going to turn off younger fans as well," the chanteuse said.
Co-produced by The Struts, Peter Thomas, and Jay Vic, the upbeat fun song "Gold" is a one of those bubblegum, happy pop love songs that sticks in your head and kind of improves your mood. The track, perfectly encapsulates the empowering message Justice is hoping to spread on her in-the-works debut album. "From the moment I heard it, I just thought it was a really fun, catchy pop song, and I also liked how it came from a place of female empowerment," she told MTV News about the song, on which the former "Victorious" star tells her crush to "man up" because she's gold and he should make a move.
Justice has gone from victorious to golden in the Young Wonder-directed pink-hued "Gold" visual, which is not very high-budget but it's cute and expresses well the vibe and the fun of the song. Decked out in glamorous little dresses, the former "Victorious" star shows off a sassier, flirtier side in the video, which features "Teen Wolf" and "Arrow" star Colton Haynes as her love interest. They flirt in a vintage car, dance around a pretty sweet vintage car and twirl near said vintage car. Haynes even does a great job of pretending he's into it when Justice blows a bunch of gold sparkles all over his face.

"Make It In America" is a country-tinged ditty about Hollywood dreams and showing skin. The 19-year-old Nickelodeon starlet explained, "My mom was on the phone and I had overheard her talking... about someone breaking big and making it in America. That title just kind of stuck with me... that's such a powerful message."

The video for "Make It in America" is pretty light on story, which features Justice driving around in a sun-drenched desert, grabbing some ice cream, before receiving a text message from her friends asking if she'll perform at a party that night, she says yes, and then she stops by to pick up three male friends along the way before heading off to the nighttime party in the desert. Not a bad life.

Victoria Justice has made her brand-new visual grand premiere for her hit song "You're the Reason" on Nickelodeon Saturday, right after the airing of her Nickelodeon show's Christmas special episode of 'Victorious,' with the piece mainly comprised of Justice perched behind a piano.
The 18-year-old budding solo singer is going unplugged and giving us her special unplugged version of "You're the Reason," which is from the Victorious soundtrack. Justice has performed a more uptempo version previously, but this version is a ballad and she says it really let her get more into an emotional level of singing. The Nickelodeon star laid it all on the line as she belted out her song behind a piano.
The video was shot in Zuma Beach and also a place called the Enchanted Forest. The concept of the video is of Justice traveling with her piano. One little tidbit that fans out there should know is that there are "no" guys on this video - although Justice laughingly tells us that guys are cute and all but this video is purely herself. Along with the visual, Justice says her style in the video was so in sync with what she likes - lots of fun fashion and of course her favorite - feathers. When it comes to who she is thinking about and singing this beautiful ballad - Justice tells us that when she performs the song the person who she is dedicating the song to is her mom, sweet!

I like all of the nighttime amusement park scenes in this music video where Justice goes around following the couple, and of course the song is a fabulous listen as she tells the boy that he'll be begging on his knees. Fans hoping for more Justice are in luck: she is scheduled to perform "Beggin' on Your Knees" at the 2011 Kids' Choice Awards on April 2, where she is nominated for Favorite TV Actress. Justice is without question one of Nickelodeon's biggest talents, having already enjoyed a successful acting career and several hit songs. The Nickelodeon teen star was also on a float in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, and later appeared on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon Show to talk about being in the parade and to promote her show. The video shows Justice, who is unsurprisingly working on an album, making the rounds in a warehouse/club with her co-stars to freak out.
Set inside a downtown Los Angeles warehouse, the video features the Nickelodeon star is joined by the whole cast of "Victorious" as they each gets their moment to show off their best moves in a dance-off with other clubgoers to the title track. Justice talk about the making of the video: "It was really amazing. It was shot, for the most part, in a warehouse space in downtown Los Angeles. The creative sounded great to me, but I wasn't sure of how the sets would look. When I walked in, I knew then that there would be a very cool vibe to the video, which was what I was hoping for. The atmosphere was a lot of fun. The whole cast was there and it was like one big party. I loved the choreography and I love the song. It has such high energy that it'll make you want to get up and dance. I really hope everyone loves it."

"I'm still working on it. I will say that a lot of songs that I've written are from my own personal experiences which are special to me. One can only hope that people will like it," she stated.
