With a week to go until Calvin Harris' star-studded fourth studio album "Motion" hits, the 30-year-old Scottish superstar DJ has shared a action-packed new video for his Big Sean-assisted new single "Open Wide," minutes after premiering the audio on New York City-based radio station Hot 97. Along with the refurbished tune comes the explosive video, featuring a gun shootout in the middle of a desert with Harris and Sean right in the middle of it.
More and more dance music producers have been venturing into hip-hop territory, and Harris has done so with "Open Wide," a tune that may sound very familiar to one of his current releases. "Open Wide," is not a new beat from Harris who previously used the same drop and a similar build up on a solo record called "C.U.B.A," Harris' instrumental Beatport No.1 hit, released back in June. Harris took advantage of the incredible success he achieved with "C.U.B.A.," and reworked it into a hip-hop masterpiece.
The big difference between the two songs is the Detroit rapper, who makes another foray into the world of EDM and adds in two energetic and suitable verses that laid on top of the house-meets-trap beat. "Open that shit wide, let me see how big your mouth is," raps Sean over Harris' signature production, adding, "This goes out to...You know who this goes out to." The U.K. hitmaker's new track "Wide Open," is a pretty generic sounding track, but it'll fit right into main stage festival sets.
As for the Emil Nava-directed cinematic clip, it's clearly a high-budget endeavor, featuring high speed racing, guns and pair up two gangs war showdown in the desert with Harris and Sean right in the middle of it that pops off right as the beat drops. As two opposing sides blast shot after shot at each other, all while a ballerina is gracefully dancing in between all of the sheer fuckery, inexplicably moving around while dodging bullets with the dexterity of Keanu Reeves in "The Matrix." It's aesthetically pleasing, but a bit confusing.

Pitbull and Christina Aguilera toast to the good life in the triumphant video for a thumping club beat, "Feel This Moment," their hit collaboration and the fourth single off Pitbull's seventh album, "Global Warming." It's Latin superstar overload that demonstrates how their respective moments often feature large, happy crowds in front of them. The duo simply just want to enjoy and feel this moment. Who wouldn't? (You know what, though, if my life was as balling as all of these guys, I'd never want it to end either.)
"Feel This Moment," is a dance-pop, hip house and electro house song, about stopping to take a moment to appreciate life. Interpolating the melody from Norwegian synthpop outfit A-Ha's famous 1985 synth-pop curio, "Take On Me," but in a souped-up 2012-friendly format, the glorious disco explosion sees Pitbull doing his typical swag-shtick and Aguilera gamely meeting him halfway with her gorgeous pipes and memorable chorus. This is actually quite a catchy tune to dance to and it boasts a sick hook. It doesn't feature any misogyny, which is nice.
The 32-year-old Cuban-American rapper spoke about their collaboration in an interview, "'Feel This Moment' is a special record, and to work with Christina Aguilera is an honor, a blessing, someone that I highly respected, as far as her talent, her voice, her range that she can take it, and I think 'Feel This Moment' is gonna be a great record, because it's got a very powerful sample and everybody's gonna dance too. On top of that, when I say 'Feel this Moment' is basically, 'feel life, don't live life for a moment, live life for life, that is your moment'."
The David Rousseau-directed clip is a split-screen, black-and-white affair, with lots of quick shots of Mr. Worldwide reflects on his journey to the top, being swaggy and vaguely predatory up on stage in any parts of his 'Planet Pit World Tour' across the globe and living the fast life, while curvy pop diva X-Tina showed off her full-bodied blonde locks and looks gorgeous as she vamps for the camera, wearing a black leather ensemble with huge, curly hair, dances in the corner and singing the chorus on a sound stage somewhere.

Utilizing face mapping technology, David Guetta has dropped an expensive looking clip for his new electro-house song, "I Can Only Imagine," his dance/pop collaboration with Chris Brown and Lil' Wayne which serves as the sixth international single off his latest hugely successful LP, "Nothing but the Beat," which offers the same experience as one of Guetta's numerous remix sets, is in stores now.
After seeing a behind-the-scenes clip of the 44-year-old French producer's "I Can Only Imagine" video last week, the final product is here. The French disc jockey calls on Wayne and Brown for a lyrical assist for the club-ready track, and the two hip-hop and R&B staples show up for their respective verses. The threesome performed the club banger for the first time at the 54th Grammy Awards back to February.
Directed by Colin Tilley, the visually-engaging futuristic theme clip used six video sets and it shows Guetta in a control room of sorts with holograms and 3D screen to control a cyborg dancing in a hall. "David Guetta actually has this control room that's made out of all holograms," said Tilley. "It kinda feels like 'Minority Report.' It's just got a really crazy vibe and he's controlling everything that's happening in his world. He's controlling these dancers that are going crazy, he's controlling Chris Brown in this room with this mask on."
The clip shows a dance floor virtual reality based around Guetta and a futuristic DJ booth. While Wayne raps in front of a skateboarding backdrop, Guetta navigates Brown through a nearly zero-gravity dance routine that ends when Guetta finally removes his hands from the control pad on his turntable. There are light-up suits, face-mapping, skateboard ramps, and laser-beam eyes. Guetta described the video as having "crazy, super strong images, and futuristic images." Overall, pretty slick effort!

Azealia Banks is back from her deletion from the twitter world, and showing how much of a bad girl she really is, just in time to drop off her first professional music video for her latest funky banger, "Liquorice," the closing track off her debut EP "1991," which is stuffed with slick rhymes and follows an insane rhythm, and its visual accompaniment is as juicy as the popsicle she wraps her lips around, and it's got a heavy taste of the old west and a unique take on some classic Americana.
The dance-rap track, "Liquorice" is the first release for Banks since she terminated the services of Lady GaGa's manager and employed Coldplay's, who also happen to be her boyfriend. Meanwhile, the 21-year-old young Harlem star, is spitting explicit lyrics on "Liquorice" that could rival that of Lil Kim's "Hardcore" days, however her flow is so sick that the content might be an afterthought to the average listener. With its ravey beat and relentless rhymes, is one of our favorite songs of the year.
The Harlem rapstress unleashes her Wild Wild West side in the American West themed visual, which was directed by famed English photographer Rankin, styled by Nicola Formichetti, in a sun drenched 'dust bowl' western backdrop, with the singer in everything from leather cowboy outfit to an American flag bikini with some extra long ombre hair while suggestively sucking on a red, white and blue popsicle. It's as stylish and as slick as you could ever hope for.
The clip starts with an intro straight out of a Sergio Leone western, and as gunshot effects and two tone animations and stop shots lead into the song. As a bat-wielding, horseback-riding, shootout-hosting cowgirl, Banks gallivanting around a town from the Old West and wraps herself in all sorts of American cultural iconography, such as, baseball and hot dogs and mashes them up with the rappers own brash personality, and she somehow manages to get in a shootout with herself near the middle. Even though Banks herself is the only human being who shows up onscreen, it's still a fun, ridiculously glossy affair.
