UK boyband JLS have collaborated with the King of UK Rap in 2010, Tinie Tempah, premiered the visuals for their new melody single, "Eyes Wide Shut," the official third single lifted from the quartet's latest huge sophomore LP, "Outta This World," which is close to the double platinum certification. The DEEKAY-produced song features the lads teaming up with the Frisky rapper of the moment, Tempah, who allegedly "jumped at the chance" to work with the boyband.
The new tune "Eyes Wide Shut," following hot on the heels of number one songs "The Club Is Alive" and "Love You More," is definitely an midtempo dance track, radio-friendly, which combines the famously smooth vocal harmonies of Marvin, JB, OritsÈ and Aston, and the lyrical stylings of rapper Tempah. And it is due for release on February 13, just in time for Valentine's Day. The track provides another dose of anthemic R&B pop, combining the instantly-recognizable vocals from Tempah.
The Pass Out hitmaker, who does not feature on the album version of the track, also contributes to video, looking rather dapper it a black suit and trademark glasses. GIRLS mob them everywhere they go and they look set to break the U.S., so it's no wonder Tempah wants a piece of the pie. The video for the club track depicts the boy band and rapper in a fictional CGI environment, and is probably the most ambitious yet from the former X Factor runners-up, with an abundance of CGI giving the promo a distinctly futuristic feel. In the promo, the Jack the Lad Swing boys and Mr. Tempah are seen in a futuristic world as The X Factor group run around chase a girl, who seems to disappear as soon as they get close to her, while Tempah plays it cool in a black suit and his trademark glasses.
The video was directed by James Orez, who's done Alicia Keys and Beyoncé and he's obviously bringing a new element to JLS. The video is also a chance for the Beat Again band to show off some of their energetic dance moves. Any fans worried that the JLS boys might be deviating from their winning formula need not worry though - Aston Merrygold is on hand to perform his signature backflip. It goes to show that a video which pays attention to detail serves as a better offering than cheesy choreography in one take, something these sexy lads are consistently known for.

American rock group the Goo Goo Dolls have debuted a music video in support of their latest single "Notbroken". The song is the second single taken from the band's ninth studio album "Something for the Rest of Us." The new video is the closest thing to an anti-war anthem that frontman Johnny Rzeznik and company will probably ever write. While the Buffalo-based band has never shied away from social issues, they tend to focus their songs on more personal and intimate stories, and "Notbroken" is a perfect example of that songwriting.
Rzeznik isn't one for hitting listeners over the head with anthem. "Notbroken," based on correspondence between Rzeznik and the wife of a solider in Iraq, is about a wife writing a letter to her husband who is at war. He fears that she will no longer love him because of his physical and emotional changes while in battle. The song indicates that the woman will always love her husband, regardless of the war's effect on him. Rzeznik says. "I wanted to speak for her, to write a love letter to tell him to come home." Heavy stuff, but accessible. The song starts with the lightness of acoustic strumming, then crashes into an epic swirl of Who-like guitars.
In an interview, Rzeznik described the Goo Goo Dolls inspiration behind the song: "Most of the material on the record seems to be addressing the kind of the angst and uncertainty of the times that we're living in, but on an emotional level. "Notbroken" is one particular song on the album, inspired by Rzeznik's encounter with a fan. "I met a woman in a meet and greet and talked to her for about two or three minutes where she slipped me a note which told me this story about how her husband. He was injured - paralyzed - and he doesn't want to come home. He wants to stay in the hospital. He's ashamed of himself. He feels like he's less. And she just wants to let him know that he's still everything that she ever wanted. I don't know, it just kind of came out. It's kind of like I was writing a love letter to him on her behalf."
Creatively, its a little bit predictable, but I guess its the sort of music that makes their fans happy with their form of acoustic intro, happy guitars, some tambourine and some sort of touching chorus. "Notbroken" is probably the most emotional track of the album. The thing their best at doing is sounding like they wrote a song just for the you, or they're talking directly to you and this is the perfect example of it. "Notbroken" tugs at your heart a little bit. The video gives this difficult story in an interesting manner. Shot to look similar to the old silhouette iPod commercials, we see both the wife and her husband's life play out on screen, with an ending that should leave you feeling a bit closer to both. Take a look at how Rzeznik and his bandmates visualize their single about a wife's letter to her husband who is at war.

San Francisco-based pop rock poppers the Train have revealed their brand new video for "Marry Me," the third single off their fifth studio album "Save Me, San Francisco." "Marry Me," will release on next Tuesday, follows "If It's Love" and their Top 5 Hot 100 hit, "Hey, Soul Sister." Train professes their ultimate love in "Marry Me," which plays nothing but songs perfect for the newly married couple. It opening with plucky, serene guitar plucking, the stripped-down acoustic ballad features light percussion and later string accompaniment, as soon as frontman Pat Monahan's breathy vocals come in and he croons.
Train was inescapable during the late 90s/early 2000s, when songs like "Calling All Angels" and "Drops of Jupiter" made the San Francisco residents some of America's most popular balladeers. Although formed during the glory days of post-grunge, the group found more success in the pop/rock world, where Train straddled the line between adult contemporary and family-friendly alternative rock. The band, has been relatively quiet in the years until "Hey, Soul Sister" became one of the most overplayed songs of 2009. Don't get me wrong, it's a great track, but when you hear it for the thousandth time, it kinda gets to you.
The "Marry Me" video, which got various couples discussing why they fell in love with another and alas now they're married. It is a very good shot video that fits the song perfectly and captures wonderfully the emotional words of a proposal of marriage. It leaves you a sweet dreamy feeling. "Marry Me" is one of the most beautiful song of this winter. You would not imagine another video. It is simple but effective. In the introduction, couples talk about their marriage proposals following by the story of a proposal with Monahan as main character. The band tell the story. The group is shown in a black grey bottom as high as the beauty of words.
It is a music video many bands should have because sometimes, the videos don't have much sense just saying. It is definitely a recommended buy. Concerning the song, it impacts radio on January, 11. These are sweet words of love that every woman would love to hear and dream. The ballad features a sweet acoustic guitar backed by a nice piano work. It is a love song singing brilliantly and softly by Monahan. His interpretation is great and will attract to you immediately. It is also a nice way to end the year in beauty. Don't hesitate to make it No.1.

For most girls living in Birmingham, England, becoming an international recording artist requires a lifetime of experience, serious industry connections, and an insane amount of luck. But most girls are not Clare Maguire, who could be the next big female vocalist to take on Florence and her ginger Machine. Maguire's big dramatic voice is indeed an impressive instrument, one that belies her tender years, and it's as suited to folk as it is to gospel, as comfortable fronting user-friendly electro-pop as gliding over a trip-hop backdrop. Her music is fierce and intense, yet tender when it needs to be and totally relatable to every listener, she takes us places we have all been. She is an incredible talent and one I have had on my radar all year. Take a listen to Maguire and do not forget who she is, something is about to pop in a big way with her.
On her debut single, "Ain't Nobody," she evokes everyone with an unbreakable, unique croon. Maguire also infuses just the right hint of lyrical mystery, making for the ultimate modern pop trip, and this ethereal love song, "Ain't Nobody," has a massive pop hook, but there's an ethereal quality to it as well. Maguire said about this tune: "It's a very mysterious and passionate song; it's the most ethereal on the album. To be honest, all of the other songs are a lot more straightforward lyrically. This one is definitely a bit otherworldly." She added, regarding the song's meaning: "It's really about passion and a deep yearning for somebody. I didn't want it to be too straightforward. I wanted it to have that open, deserty feeling, which is why I incorporated guitar. It's an epic love song."
The imagery of this video, directed by Sam Brown, is based upon that feeling," Maguire explained: "I want to continue making videos that stick to the true emotion and feel of each of my songs. I hope that I've achieved this with 'Ain't Nobody,' the feeling of desolation, yearning and passion in the deepest sense that it is hard to make out where it comes from, so strong that you lose yourself in it." Maguire said that she had a big say in the planning of the video. "I said what I wanted, and a few different directors brought me back their ideas. Sam did exactly what I was thinking though. We had this discussion about it and then went from there. It was great because he captured precisely what I wanted for that song. I want my music videos to really capture the songs."

I came across this talented group a few minutes ago, and enjoyed their latest new music video for "Angel." Mona Lisa is a new group on the rise. Some of you may have seen them on TV shows, such as "America's Got Talent" and "Clash of the Choirs" with Kelly Rowland of Destiny's Child. If you was wonder if their twin or not. Well yes their identical twins. They've actually had me for a minute, because when I watched the video I couldn't figure out why the driver and passenger both were singing about the man.
Here's the story. 40 Glocc, aka Big Bad 40 Glocc's & Zoolife Ent. & Flying Pig Productions, is in the business of finding talent. His most recent find is California-based identical twin duo Mona Lisa, consisting of JoJo and Wo. The new R&B singing duo group drops the Ann Finnegan-directed music video for their brand new single, "Angel," a story about a love story gone wrong. The clip is inspired by the classic 1990s film, "Thelma and Louise". According to 40 Glocc, Mona Lisa are free agents.
Their gift, determination and sheer talent has aided in landing them many career boosting opportunities which include: Television appearances on such shows as NBC's "America's Got Talent" and "Clash of the Choirs" with Kelly Rowland of Destiny's Child, several movie appearances, including roles in "Just Dance" and "The American Dream" with Mike Jones. JoJo and Wo have performed in Singapore, Dubai, and across Europe where they had the opportunity to open for both Alicia Keys and The Pussycat Dolls.

The Script are back with a super-Irish video for their super-cheesy comeback single "For The First Time," the first single from the Irish alternative rocker's sophomore studio album "Science & Faith," which will be released in the United States on January 18. The new heartfelt tune pretty much falls in line with the trio's mega-hit "Breakeven," in that it's all broken hearts and power-balladry mixed with Coldplay-esque chords. Seeing as how The Script hail from Ireland and perform majestic pop-rock songs with soaring melodies.
For the past few years, the world has proven an extremely difficult place to live. The economy is in a downward spiral and unemployment rates seem to be climbing everyday. So after coming off of their international tour, Irish rockers had a difficult time being able to celebrate their success. In order to demonstrate their empathy towards people who are struggling to survive, The Script wrote the song "For the First Time." Although the heart-wreching song has a somber essence, the band wanted their song to end on a more positive note. "We needed a message of hope, as people are being stripped of all these things, they're realising what's really important," Frontman Danny O'Donoghue explained. "It's all about going back to basics, drinking cheap wine, eating your dinner off the floor. That's when you meet each other for the first time, when you have nothing."
The music video follows an Irish couple who have emigrated to United States in hope to get a better life but lives a hard life in New York, so decides to return to their homeland. The band's performance scene is also inserted in between the narrative footage. They actually cast U2 frontman Bono's daughter, Eve Hewson, as the lead in the video. "We were looking for a girl and we heard about her having just done a movie with Sean Penn and we took a look at the reel," said 'O'Donoghue. "She was perfect, quite young and had gone to America. She just fit the bill."
Over pulsing, electric rhythm guitar, O'Donoghue sings about getting through the tumultuous recession, and the effect it has on their lives, and relationships. The hopeful message from all this, is that sometimes these events can bring people closer together. A lot of popular music is influenced by the singer/band's own lives and experiences, which can often mean it takes time for an new album because, as Avril Lavigne's would say, she "needs to live in order to get inspiration for my lyrics." The Script's album was influenced by "recession-struck Ireland" than the actual song itself. They make such great music but the question is whether they’ll last or fade into oblivion like many other alternative acts that crossed over into mainstream for a short time.

Barenaked Ladies are out with the music video to their new single "Every Subway Car," the second single off the Canadian alternative rock group's latest ninth full-length original-material studio album "All in Good Time." Imagine a shrine for all great sayings, a Pop Psychology Hall of Fame if you will. After 20 years together, Barenaked Ladies are taking time to walk these halls and learn from another bon mot, "All In Good Time." It includes 14 bold and adventurous new tracks, find four-piece exploring a very creative and fertile phase of their careers.
The song "Every Subway Car," was written by singer/guitarist Ed Robertson. On this power-pop cut, founding Robertson takes on the angst of a love-struck guerrilla artist who paints tributes to his lover on subway cars. It was originally called "Graffiti Love" as a working title, but was changed when they went on a small holiday-themed tour in the US.
Barenaked Ladies make a mini live performance in front of subway cars in Stephen Scott-directed music video. In the other side of the subway station, a young guy is seen drawing some graffiti on the wall of the building. The music video was filmed at an Ontario transportation museum among vintage subway cars. The video features the album version of the song; an alternate version features American singer/songwriter Erin McCarley on some of the lead vocals and added harmonies. The museum's film industry liaison Doug McOuat told Guelph Mercury that the group "made use of the first two subway cars built in Canada in 1963."
Together the visuals and song blend so well together, they create the perfect atmosphere. The model for the art who was at the end of the video has a really incredible presence, even when you see her through the art during the video, it's like she's a part of the music and the song. Then when you see her at the end, you get to see who was the inspiration for the subway car romance. The result of new contributions from within is a recording that is stylistically adventurous, musically diverse and the most emotionally riveting and honest work by Barenaked Ladies to date.
