Despite the fact her latest album is collecting more dust on shelves than year-old peanut butter, Cole is pressing on. "Take Me Away," serving as one of the standout songs on the album, it is no surprise that this mid-tempo track has been released. The song was chosen as the fan favorite from her album via Cole's twitter. It went for adds at U.S. radio on February 7, and Cole performed this song on Conan on January 19. It looks like the R&B crooner is going to give her "Calling All Hearts" album one last push before moving on to her next project.
Cole's new video for "Take Me Away" is simple but has a nice spring feel to it. She gives off the real California girl vibe but straight out of Oakland. The 29-year-old ditched the heavy look from "I Ain't Thru" and went for a more tranquil approach in the latest video, which was directed by Taj Stansberry and was filmed on the sandy beaches of California. Many Twitter users have been comparing the video to the late Aaliyah's "Rock The Boat."
Cole definitely seems like motherhood has taken her image in a new direction. In new visual, the 'I Ain't Thru' singer and her object of affection go to the beach in a fine summer day, walking around the sunshine-drenched destination with her beau and sharing laughs. The songstress busts her moves in a choreographed dance and enjoys a back massage with her girl friends. She also hits the shores and walks hand in hand with her on-screen love interest and sings "Take me away, see you in everything I do," to the love of her life about how much she adores him. Then she indulges in a bubble bath...
