The Saturdays Brand New Single "Forever Is Over" Is Out Today

Posted by Kevin Z. Rong Monday, October 5, 2009

The UK POP angels, The Saturdays was just made their new single "Forever Is Over" available on iTunes now, and they have descended then mass onto twitter and are furiously pimping it out to all and sundry. "Forever is Over" is the first single from British girl pop band, The Saturdays, written by Louis Biancaniello, Sam Watters, and James Bourne of Busted fame, and produced by The Runaways, who also co-wrote and produced Keri Hilson's lead single "Energy". The song is the opening track for the group's second studio album, "Wordshaker," which is someone who twists the truth and is set to be released on today, with the album released one week later.
The Saturdays was formed in Britain in 2007, comprising Una Healy, Mollie King, Vanessa White, Rochelle Wiseman and Frankie Sandford. This lead single "Forever Is Over" finds them shifting away from glossy electropop and taking a few stiletto steps into pop-rock territory. The Saturdays have revealed their devilish side by pinching a single "Forever Is Over" from under the nose of Kelly Clarkson. It was originally penned by ex-Busted star James Bourne, for American Idol winner Kelly. But once the girl troupe wrapped their lugholes around the smash hit they demanded first dibs.
The music video for quintet's title song reflects their maturing style. It was shot on July 29. It was leaked onto YouTube on August 22, and debuted on Radio One's "Switch" next day. The clip shows the girls in a house singing and around a town. At the end of the video, the girls are seen leaving a nightclub. Rochelle Wiseman added:"We almost called it Deeper because we wanted something more grown-up".
