Tamar Kaprelian Sent Profoundly Positive Message For 'New Day'

Posted by Kevin Z. Rong Tuesday, May 11, 2010

Tamar Kaprelian has just premiered the official music video for her first single "New Day," will appear on her debut album, "Sinner Or A Saint," she has culminated a library of original music, which grows daily in the melodic journey that will bring her project to fruition, due out July 13 on Interscope Records. She calls the album a coming-of-age record that chronicles her life, relationships, and her utter determination to create an album that is real and true to herself, both personally and artistically. In video, the rising star take her piano through beautiful fields and forests in the ultimate fairytale setting.
Kaprelian has started writing songs from her early childhood, and wrote on her MySpace page that she has been influenced by classic Disney films as a child, but her true love for music came out after discovering Billy Joel and Paul McCartney. The 22-years-old recently has buzzed the music world with her latest released song "New Day." She has been writing since she was just fourteen years old and hopes to send a profoundly positive message with "New Day." She says, it's "about struggling, persevering, and being in a situation where you don't know how you’re gonna dig yourself out of it. And at the end of it, life is like a road—you don't stop in the middle of it. I really want people to listen to this record and get a sense of hope from it."
Kaprelian's big break came after winning the OneRepublic "Apologize" Cover Contest in March 2008, and and soon landed herself a contract with band's label. No doubt she have been brought up in a very peaceful environment, as her song lyrics are really different and classic. Kaprelian wrote her songs mainly over piano, and her songs are hopeful, honest, light and attractive. She describes her music as "thought provoking, hopeful, playful, and honest." Her unique style of piano driven pop-rock has surfaced as a distinctively inventive sound unfamiliar to today's typical model. Fans of MTV's 'The Hills' might recognize Kaprelian's single "New Day" which was featured prominently in the Season Five finale. Get to know this rising star in an intimate, acoustic performance of the song where she shares a little more about her music.
