Back in January, Cher Lloyd had a video for her single, "Want U Back" featuring Astro from X Factor USA and now, the 18-year-old British songstress re-shot a new U.S. Version video for the song. Shot to fame in the U.K. after appearing on Season 7 of "The X Factor," Lloyd made it to the final four before she was eliminated, but Simon Cowell quickly signed her to Syco, his label, and released her debut U.K. album last year, where it entered the charts at No.1.
"Want U Back." was originally as the third single taken from her debut studio album "Sticks + Stones," and now released the song as her first official U.S. single, and it sounds like an instant summer radio hit. The track is a cartoony mix of perky beats and peppy guitar give the song an almost caricature quality. This sassy piece of pop finds Lloyd singing about her jealousy of her former lover and his new girlfriend.
Lloyd explained that the song does not relate to anything that happened to her personally: "it's basically a track from lots of different girls' stories out there. A lot of people are telling me they can relate to the track and they've been in that situation, but it's also got an element of fun in it." The new clip was shot in Los Angeles, and shows Lloyd's attempts to sabotage her former love's new relationship in an American diner, while performing the track on the restaurant's counter. The police then arrive to arrest Lloyd and take her into custody, where she is seen having a mugshot taken.
Instead of Lloyd hanging out in her bedroom, now she's invading a small-town diner, wearing significantly less clothing and going to jail. Lloyd reminds us of that badass friend in high school who skipped class (but still got good grades), refused to wear her gym class uniform ('cause they were lame) and never sported a zit a day in her life. We so wanted be her. (Still do!) If you're wondering if sassy girls ever grow out of being effing awesome, they don't. Her newest video proves that bad girls just wanna have fun at everyone else's expense.

Mat Kearney has just released the music video for his rap-acoustic rock style tune "Ships In The Night," the third single appears on his latest fourth studio album "Young Love," following "Hey Mama" and "Down." The 33-year-old Oregon-born, now Nashville-based musician's high profile in the secular world is buoyed by the inclusion of his songs in more than a dozen hit television shows. The new shoot spanned 2,445 miles over 165 locations.
Kearney explained the meaning of this relationship-difficulty song: "I wrote that about those people that are closest to you but you still feel so far away from sometimes. It's my cry to want to connect with someone that's close to you but emotionally very far away. I'm writing out of my own experience with that." The phrase "like ships that pass in the night" is generally used for people who meet once or twice by chance for a short time but then do not see each other again.
Kearney is a crossover human. He's had one foot in pop music, and another in hip-hop. His most recent album, "Young Love," sees him incorporating more of a hip-hop/spoken word element than ever before. And so far, it's been his biggest critical hit. When talking about the album, Kearney said, "I approached 'Young Love' like a singer-songwriter would approach a hip-hop record. We would start with beats or grooves that your body already responds to. It was a fun and fulfilling experiment."
You know how it is when a good friend falls in love and suddenly it's all they can talk about, obsessing about the new relationship in a gooey way that makes you want to hurl? This isn't like that. It's true that since the release of 2009's "City of Black & White," Kearney fell in love and got married, but this album manages to be hopeful, upbeat and fun without the cavity-inducing sweetness. The album is heavy on handclaps and lo-fi touches that lend a charming quality.

Nicole and Natalie Albino, the identical twin duo known as Nina Sky, are back with a brand new music video for their latest single "Day Dreaming," the alt-R&B lead single to duo's upcoming sophomore set "Nicole & Natalie," which is due in July and becomes their first full-length effort since their debut album eight years ago due to label mishaps. The sisters are the same person representing two sides in one relationship, but in actuality, do not. One version is real, the other is fantasy.
Produced by Beau Vallis, the trippy yet seductive slapper "Day Dreaming" is a R&B flavored mid-tempo track with electro-pop sensibilities and fantastic; imagine if mid-'00s Timbaland took his skittish, snapping production to the dreamier, moodier 2010s soundscape where something like "I'm On One" can get huge. The synths on the chorus are dead ringers for that track's hook. The theme of the bass drum and synth layers allow the proper amount space for the enticing vocals from Nicole & Natalie.
The tense, unfulfillable relationship narrative's equally welcome-lines like "I wanna make sure we meet later in my dreams, even though you're not the one laying with me" and "I close my eyes to find you, you're my little secret, whenever I decide to, that's the way we'll keep it" will resonate for somebody, and the video's equally tense. One moment you're hopping subway turnstiles and clasping hands on the sidewalk; the next, you're nothing to one another. You don't even have to have a twin for it to happen, and either way, there's not going to be a resolution.
The Adam Sauermilch-directed clip is an absolutely stellar take on the classic 'the grass is always greener on the other side' motif as both girls are in what essentially appears to be the same relationship but with drastically different outcomes. It opens with Natalie doing some typical cute couple activities with a scruffy love interest, like coasting on the handlebars of his bike and snuggling between the sheets. Then it gets heavy, as brooding, edgier sister Nicole portrays all the negative aspects of a relationship with the same guy. Though duality isn't the most innovative concept for a pair of twins to tackle, it still makes for a dramatic and titillating visual.

Britain Pop belter Jessie J channels her past on the newest music video for her pop-infused self empowerment "Who's Laughing Now," the fourth UK single from her debut studio album, "Who You Are," which does serve as one of her most personal tracks and one with a message that anyone who's experienced bullying can relate to and find strength in. The songstress goes back to her school days where she was portrayed as an outcast, and she was really out to prove people wrong.
Despite having grown into a confident and successful 23-year-old, Jessie was often taunted and teased by her schoolmates as a kid for everything from a skin discolouration resulting from a health condition to her 'Bugs Bunny' teeth. Having experienced such treatment on behalf of her peers, she wrote "Who's Laughing Now." Speaking of the track, she said: "Music is about making a change but also being able to laugh at yourself. I think this song tells a story a lot of people have been through and I hope it will raise awareness to the serious issue of bullying."
This bitter song finds Jessie taking pride in her achievements in the music industry and having the last laugh at the scoffers in her younger days who doubted she could be successful. She told The Sun: "This song always makes me laugh. I have had so many supporters but also many non-believers and this track is my 'haha' to them. As I say: 'Let the haters hate, they're like way too late!'" The track offers a little insight, but it's via her grind and career rather than who Jessie actually is. The brilliant revenge song aimed at playground bullies is such a tart kiss-off, you can almost hear Jessie's neck swiveling.
Jessie gets the last laugh in the Emil Nava-directed clip, which filmed at King's College School, Wimbledon, is set in a primary school, where an actress (Adrianna Bertola) plays younger Jessie being bullied and taunted by preppy girls, while Jessie plays a school teacher, janitor, and lunch lady during the four minutes in the tongue-in-cheek visual. Eventually, the young popstress-to-be finds her groove, sasses her hot mess of a lunch lady in the school cafeteria and hoses down her tormenters with a fire extinguisher.

Shontelle is coping with a heartbreak after a tough split with her lover in a music video for her latest single "Say Hello to Goodbye." The pop ballad love song is the third single from her sophomore studio album "No Gravity," which she once said, "'No Gravity' became almost like this mantra that I adopted to my life and to the whole project... I basically thought 'I really can't let anything stand in my way; I can't let anything stop me from rising to the top; I can't have anything holding me down or holding me back'."
Someone, somewhere must really take to Shontelle. Because, after her last single "Perfect Nightmare" failed to set the charts alight, she has been handed another lifeline in the from of new single "Say Hello to Goodbye." sings about moving on after breaking up with her ex, Shontelle wrote the song in Sweden with producer Martin Hansen, and based on her real-life experience. "It's really a story of acknowledging [that] this ain't working, it's the end, and it's time to say hello to goodbye," she explained. "I know a lot of people can relate to similar circumstances."
It took the singer two days to record it as the first day she couldn't stop crying due to the emotions of the song. She explained why to Sound-Savvy: "I was just literally going through a tough time in a relationship I was in. I was doing a lot of thinking about it. I was just like... I really feel like I have to say hello to goodbye. This might really be the end. I think the end is really nearer than I thought. I started getting really sad thinking about it. I said, let me just pour my heart out on paper. And then when it came time to sing it, to actually record it, it was harder than I expected it was going to be. So I don't know what I'm going to do about performing it."
Shontelle's relationship goes off the tracks in the melancholy video, which featuring the Barbadian beauty dealing with the emotional rollercoaster of a tough break up. In the Armen Djerrahian-directed video, the Bajan R&B singer walks through a lonely train station at New Jersey's Hoboken station, but only one passenger decides to stay for the ride. She's deciding whether or not to reunite with an ex after meeting him on the train. She bumps into her ex while boarding a train while she's nursing her shattered heart and reminiscing about the good times and bad with her ex-boyfriend.

The man with the most famous catch phrase in pop music, Jason Derülo, is back with yet another video for his new J.R. Rotem produced single "The Sky's The Limit," which is not an official fifth single from Derülo's self-titled debut album, which spawned the certified hit single "Ridin' Solo," "In My Head" and "Whatcha Say." Derülo co-wrote this track with hit-maker Evan Bogart, and the song borrows part of Irene Cara's 1983 chart-topper "Flashdance (What a Feeling)" for its melody. Or did he steal borrow the concept from watching Scottish singer Alex Gardner's video for "I'm Not Mad"?
Derülo definitely doesn't rest on his laurels. If he released only two months ago, "What If" as the fourth single from his debut self-titled album, Derülo is now gearing up for the release of the fifth single and the chosen song is "The Sky's The Limit." He actually announced the news via Twitter in mid-September and even stated that a new music video would be soon premiered. Well here it is! Personally, I really like this track, it was single-worthy to my ears, and should have been the follow-up to "Ridin' Solo" instead of "What If". But seems Derüloo's label really wanted to tone things down with a ballad. Anyhow, I'm happy now to see "The Sky's The Limit" receiving single treatment.
The video is another typical light show, featuring a beautiful female dancer and Derülo wearing a really epic laser jacket while singing and dancing. Derülo pays a visit to the electric funhouse in his video for the synth-heavy "The Sky's the Limit," and dancing in a room filled with mirrors and fluorescent light bulbs, the Miami native shoots lasers out of his outfit when the lights cut off. This was an interesting visual. However, while I appreciate the laser show and the light reflections, I remain unamused by Derülo's constant attempt at recreating what was done by Michael Jackson. Still, this was a respectable effort. You're pretty much looking at the "Derülo dances with many mirrors" show, which actually isn't so bad since Derülo is a fine dancer.
A Haitian American singer-songwriter, dancer, choreographer, producer and actor, Derülo belongs to a new breed of multi-hyphenate artists who know no creative boundaries. Derülo was just another artist on MySpace, until he was discovered by power producer J. R. Rotem a few years ago and skyrocketed into pop fame. Derülo has set his sights high. "I don't want to stay in a box," he says. "I want all the love!" Derülo is clearly "the next big thing. His songs are catchy and unique. In this copycat age, Derülo's tracks have garnered him a distinct sound among the many new male pop acts today. Derülo's latest effort, "The Sky's The Limit," sticks with his already working formula of pop music with uptempo beats. Fans have grown to embrace and support his sound - especially in the U.K. where three of his singles have hit No.1 on the charts.

R&B stud Trey Songz is back with a new video for his emotionally driven new single "Can't Be Friends," the second release lifted from his eagerly-awaited upcoming fourth alliterative project "Passion, Pain & Pleasure," following up from his "Bottoms Up" single featuring the temptress Nicki Minaj. R&B singer makes it clear that he and his former lover "Can't Be Friends" on his new song of that very same name.
"Can't Be Friends" is a borderline ballad that finds the singer delivering one of his best vocal performances since his debut album. The soothing ballad samples Japanese composer Ryuichi Sakamoto's "Bibo no Aozora" from the 2006 film Babel. The track is a departure from his usual 'sex and alcohol' gimmick and actually has substance. This is the direction Songz needs to be going; he's proved, for better or worse that he can deliver radio hits but he's still not taken seriously as viable artist. Understated, low-register piano chords combine with a thudding, tension-building drum beat as Songz expresses regret and sets his boundaries. It's the classic love jam expressing how you wish you never screwed your homegirl, and now there is no way you can be friends.
In the video, madly in love with a woman he can't be with, the heartbroken Songz is frustrated and angry with himself and is seen sitting anxiously in an empty room all alone going through the painful emotions of dealing with a breakup and he's hurting because of it on his latest "Can't Be Friends" video. This a rather simplistic but powerful new video at the same time, is very different from his past clips because of the addition of Anthony Mandler, who is also known as Drake's favorite director. Songz gives the already somber record even more emotion for his fans. The lyrics and motion of the video are in perfect sync with Songz's movements, whether it's just Songz alone or him with his woman. It's dramatic and draws you in. The video does a good job of showing the thoughts running through Songz's mind as we listen to the story and feel his pain. Songz goes crazy while thinking about a lost love.
"Passion, Pain & Pleasure," a piano-laced and finger-snaps-embraced beat that serves as a foundation, which the R&B performer has reportedly described as his most personal album yet, is expected in stores on September 14 via Atlantic Records. He has already started his first-ever headlining tour to promote the new record. Poughkeepsie hip-hop and R&B artist Theory premiered his new official music video on YouTube Friday, for his song "We'll Be Alright." Directed by Jarek Zabczynski and featuring Martina Markota, the video will be the first film project filmed on the Walkway Over the Hudson Railroad Bridge between Poughkeepsie and Highland. Other locations include New Paltz and Kingston.
Raised in Yonkers, N.Y., Theory absorbed the elements of hip-hop by writing poetry and listening to his earlier inspirations, Nas and Jay-Z. Upon that, he developed himself a character that would mold him into the artist he is today. Electrifying multi-fluid styles consisting of sleek hip-hop lyrics with a twist of R&B flavor separated him from most, if not all.
Theory's accomplishments have garnered much attention in New York's upstate scene. Theory's latest single "Swish" recently rose to the No.1 position on WPKF 96.1 KissFM's Total Request Countdown. It was the second time in the history of the station that a local artist managed to achieve such a feat. The first time, was also achieved by Theory with his song: "A Soldier's Heart." Aside from performing at clubs, colleges, and venues, Theory has made quite an impact on the community as he often performs at various charities and fundraisers. He speaks three languages and has traveled the world, performing across Belgium, Spain, France, and the UK. He has also performed alongside artists Cheri Dennis and R&B superstar Ne-Yo.

R&B star Ciara admits to going Hollywood for a minute, but is coming back to stake her claim and reminding her detractors that she's still the 'Same Old Chic' in the new formal promotion video for her upcoming fourth album's title buzz song "Basic Instinct (U Got Me)." The song sees the singer speaking about the return to her R&B/urban roots and ditching the pop sound of previous records. The expletive-filled street anthem video directed by Phil the God and features a cameo from The-Dream. Ciara will unveil a glossier image when the video for her lead single "Ride" which features Ludacris premieres on Vevo via Jive Records today.
So apparently Cici is holding no punches on her new project, "Basic Instinct." The ATL princess has sprung a surprise on her fans by releasing this first visual hard-hitting cut, just moments ago on her official Twitter page. The "Love Sex Magic" hitmaker tweeted, "Hey my sweet fans!! Check out my video Basic Instinct (U GOT ME) Enjoy!" In the video Ciara is walking down a dirt road spitting venom like verses addressing the bloggers, critics and one particular R&B songstress that has yet to be named. With The-Dream on her side, The 24-year-old R&B singer shows off all the things she got from singing, dancing and rapping skills. She take shots at the haters and the blogs that criticize her and spread rumors about her. Also, the track reportedly is to fight back singer Keri Hilson who is rumored to diss her on "Turnin' Me On" remix.
The freshly-released video came out around a week after Ciara unraveled the title of her fourth album in an interview with Maximo TV during her red carpet appearance at the Los Angeles premiere of "Death at a Funeral" on April 12. "You're gonna get an even more sensual side and also confident and cocky. I got like such an attitude on this record, but in a fun way," she gushed further. A follow-up of her 2009 album "Fantasy Ride", "Basic Instinct" is due in stores across the U.S. this summer.

American rapper and hip-hop singer Rasheeda has released a new video for her fifth single, "Don't Let Him Get Away" taken off her latest fifth studio album "Certified Hot Chick." It features R&B girlgroup Cherish of whom we haven't seen since 2008.
Motown hip-hop artist Rasheeda has been bubbling under the radar for many years now, but I think she is comfortable being under the radar. Rasheeda is ready to fill the void of strong female voices that Hip-Hop seems to be lacking right now and she is hitting the hammer on the head with hot anthems like "Don't Let Him Get Away." I have been following Rasheeda since she stepped in the scene with her starting group Da Kaperz and she has grown so much since then. With this "Certified Hot Chick" album, she made it very fun to listen to and every track has it's own meaning and something anybody can relate to.
Rasheeda has been making southern-fried hip hop, more popularly known as crunk music, for years. She is ready to release her fifth album when many of her hip hop peers have either slowed down after two albums or stopped rapping altogether, the Queen of Crunk is ready to take her place at the forefront of the music scene and prove to the world that she is just Certified Hot Chick.
As Rasheeda furthers her journey, she says she has no plans to stray from her course, and she knows it is now her time to rule the hip hop kingdom and she plans to do it her way. "I'm distinctive, I have my own sound," she says, "and I put out my own music. I don't feel like I sound like anybody or look like any other female. I don't try to mock anything, I just try to go out here and do what Rasheedaa does. When you come out as an artist you're also a person that people look at. I want people to see me for just what I am — not for something that I have to put on." Rasheeda is definitely making waves as an unstoppable female MC. Glad to see all the female MC's emerging again!

London rapper Chipmunk hooked up with Dutch songstress Esmée Denters and they have now premiered the video for the very radio-friendly Chipmunk's 6th single "Until You Were Gone," which is scheduled for a release on April 19, will be featured on Chipmunk's re-edited debut album "I Am Chipmunk," although it is not feature on Denters' debut album "Outta Here." The single was recorded in January 2010 with producer, Fraser T Smith.
Denters and Chipmunk recorded the music video in an unknown London-based studio on March 4. The video is directed by Emil Nava. Denters made updates on her Twitter with pictures from the set. Chipmunk himself also notified he was shooting the music video with Denters on his Twitter. Despite the fact Chipmunk noted the video world have its nation wide premiere on April 16, the music video premiered on March 20 on T4.
For someone who's just 19-year-old Chipmunk has already achieved a lot - in 2008 he received a MOBO for Best Newcomer, and won Best Hip-Hop Act at the 2009 MOBOs, overcoming US megastars such as Jay-Z, Kanye West and Eminem. He has also received an Urban Music Award for Best Newcomer, and a nomination for Best Rapper at the American BET Awards, not to mention having racked up millions of plays across his MySpace and YouTube channels - and all before he'd even finished school.
Chipmunk's not new to the scene...at the age of 15 Chip started producing and self-releasing mixtapes, buying CDs in bulk and selling them to his mates at school. For his final mixtape, "League Of My Own," he came together with Alwayz Recordings, together they then went on to release the much talked about single Chip Diddy Chip, reaching number 21 in the UK charts. More recently he's been working and touring with N-Dubz and featured on their album Uncle B. He also put his MC talents to DJ Ironik's top 5 single Tiny Dancer.
The good thing about being a young British rapper is that it is impossible to 'sell out' - instead, you are simply 'taking over'. Listening to "Until You Were Gone" you'd have to agree that Chipmunk has well and truly taken over, and he sounds pretty good for it too.

Mr. Auto-Tune T-Pain has debuted a very expensive music video filmed to support his very goofy/awful new single "Reverse Cowgirl". The Jeremy Rall-directed video features the zombie auto-tune MC rapping to the camera with slow-motion cherries fall out of glasses, and captures of beautiful women dance around him in a "classy" manner. This is actually pretty arty for a T-Pain video, and is going to be one of those songs that you'll only hear at shitty clubs at one in the morning, where it might sound like the best, but you're embarrassed you know the words.
Teddy Pain attempts to Auto-Tune another hit with "Reverse Cowgirl" is the lead offering from his upcoming fourth studio effort, "RevolveR," which will drop later this year. Young Jeezy who provides additional verses to the song doesn't make any cameo appearance in the accompanying music video. The video has a different look compared to the heavy 3-D graphics that were featured in his last album "Thr33 Rings" but, like every artist today, T-Pain is re-inventing himself. Beside prepping to release his own record, T-Pain also has a joint album with Lil Wayne. Recently, he told MTV that the T-Wayne album will be released after Weezy gets out of jail. "He has so much going on. He has 'Rebirth' out right now. I don't wanna interrupt that," he said.
Florida-born T-Pain, is a Grammy winning American hip hop artist and producer known for his use of auto-tune. At the age of ten he turned his bedroom into a small studio with a keyboard, beat machine and four-track recorder, and he began his career as a rapper in the group Nappy Headz. The "T" in T-Pain stands for Tallahassee, and the 'Pain' means the pain trying to get out of Tallahassee. T-Pain has had over 10 top ten singles on Billboard Hot 100, and in 2008 he won a Grammy with rapper Kanye West for the single "Good Life." In June 2009, T-Pain collaborated with country-pop singer Taylor Swift for the CMT Music Awards, and performed "Thug Story," a parody of Swift's hit single "Love Story."

The former member of the R&B female group Destiny's Child member LeToya Luckett has exclusively premiered her highly anticipated music video for "Good To Me" on Singersroom.com last Thursday. A follow up to the hit single "Regret," "Good To Me" is the fourth single to come from the "Torn" singer's 2009 sophomore effort "Lady Love," was directed by makeup artist AJ Crimson and features popular model/actor Keston Karter, who appears as LeToya's leading man and love interest. They are seen getting cozy in this newly-premiered video.
Capitol recording R&B stunning star LeToya gets up close and personal with Karter and dedicates her latest song "Good to Me" to all the good men. It details the quest for the perfect man, one who doesn't merely appease women by offering materialistic gifts known as "pacifiers." LeToya has a head on her shoulders for sure. And that head is certainly on straight. This is the music video that all the kids have been anticipating just to see how the rumored down low Karter would pull off the straight man role. I think he did pretty good, but his HUD tendencies still shined right through. Especially during the cuddling scene on the sofa. Although being a low budget simple video it looks really nice and pretty decent as well, but reminiscent of a new coming artist. They managed to get out the best of it.
As much as we're feeling LeToya as well as the song, it's imperative to keep it real. The video left a lot to be desired. I totally fell in love with Letoya's last album "Lady Love," the project surprised me with it's versatility while maintaining a sensible balance and a good flow. "Good To Me" is the latest single from that album, though I must admit I was hoping for some different singles off this album.
LeToya is very much the modern-day Millie Jackson: relatable, authentic, audacious and adept in capturing the everywoman hiding behind closed shutters and curtains. By all appearances, LeToya's transitions have been both smooth and satisfying. But growth is never without struggle. Brand names are just that enduring. The blessing of a lifelong following is tempered by the curse of past accomplishments perpetually in tow. Many struggle when forced to step out from behind the name that's propelled them to tip-of-the-tongue currency. Only the rarest make those fledgling first steps count. LeToya is one such triumph. Part of the global groundswell known as Destiny's Child, LeToya won two Grammy Awards and released many successful commercial recordings.

The R&B twin sisters duo Nina Sky gives their fans something to enjoy while they wait for their next album, recently dropped their low budget music video for their new dance-pop and very upbeat single "Beautiful People" Friday, January 29, on their blog, Nina Sky High. This official lead single is supposed be the Stereotypes production, from their upcoming sophomore album, "Starting Today," which was formerly titled "The Musical". The album is set to be released sometime later this year with the likes of Rick Ross, Ryan Leslie and Daytona serving as featured guests on Polo Grounds Music/J Records.
The new video documents montage of Natalie Albino and Nicole Albino when they are rehearsing, doing live performances and spending time with some of their favorite people: family, friends, and fans. The Albino twins explains about the new video that People are always asking us "What have you guys been up to?" so we felt like it was the perfect opportunity to answer the question w/ a visual. "Beautiful People" is not just another video, it's some insight into what's been going on in our lives. Identical twins Natalie and Nicole Albino came up with the name 'Nina Sky' by combining the first two letters of their first names for "Nina" and tacked "Sky" on the end to represent their shared aspirations. The teen pop duo grew up in the borough of Queens in New York City. Singing was always important to them, eventually so important they announced their desires to become professional singers to their parents. They are the one of those groups who can drop one album and still be remembered. It has been six years since we've heard an album from Natalie and Nicole, but it doesn't mean it isn't coming. It takes time to figure out what your sound is and these girls not only have it, they own it. American R&B/pop singer Mariah Carey has premiered music videos in support of her remixed singles "Angels Cry" which officially impacted Rhythmic, Urban and Urban AC radio, featuring fellow Island Def Jam artist Ne-Yo on Wednesday night on VEVO.com. The track is the second single taken from the upcoming thirteenth studio album and second remix album "Angels Advocate," a collection of newly remixed duets with artists performing songs from her current CD "Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel," will be available in stores across U.S. on March 30.
When it rains, it pours Carey's videos. She weathers the storm and sharing screen with her collaborator Ne-Yo, singing in the rain. Apparently, angles only cry when Carey is arching her back in alley while wearing a white tank top. Or at least that's how director and her husband Nick Cannon (aka Mr. Mimi) spins it. But not only does Carey get wet from the rain, in a classy product placement moment, she douses herself and one of her pals in the video with her own M perfume. Ne-Yo maintains his usual suave composure while tinkling away on the piano and offering up one of his trademark spins. The video will debut today on MTV and BET, and all other platforms starting Monday, February 1.
Carey is currently touring to support the second installation of the double-A side combo. The revamped song is supposed to satisfy both markets - Hip Hop and Adult Contemporary. She has kicked it off on January 2 and is going to wrap it up next month on February 26. The tour and remix album are named "Angels Advocate" which is inspired by the song "Angels Cry", originally featured on "Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel."

American R&B and pop singer Keri Hilson just dropped a new official music video for her international single "Change Me" unexpectedly, to follow up her No.1 single "I Like" overseas in Germany and other areas. The song features a rather screechy Akon.
The new single "Change Me" is the sixth single lifted from Hilson's old-certified debut album "In a Perfect World," which was released in March 2009. There was delay with the actual release of this single as it was sent to the U.S. urban radio back in October last year. Seems Hilson's album promotion in other countries and tour affected the official release. Although it was never officially released as a single, three months after being sent to the U.S. radio a full length music video appeared online. An official statement about the song has not been made.
The video for "Change Me," teamed up with Akon, was shot by British director Sarah Chatfield, and produced by Polow Da Don. Hilson's Perfect World gets a splash of color, the video takes place of the set of all white back drop with Hilson, the only one allowed to have springs of color. The video focuses on Hilson singing the song while lying on a bed, and she's looking absolutely gorgeous, stunning and breath taking.
Miss Hilson set the tone in 2009 for Female R&B Acts, and her album "In a Perfect World" was very good too. She has been busy recording her sophomore album, "Turning You On, times 10" for a tentative summer release, due May 2010. According to Billboard, Interscope head DJ Mormille says: "We're just getting into this, but we already have an idea of what we want to do. This album will continue the evolution of Keri, building off the hits 'Knock You Down' and 'Turning Me On,' which helped define her." It doesn't mean she has to stop spitting out new videos from her Gold-selling album "In a Perfect World". But first she will make a stop at the Grammys on January 31 on CBS, where she is nominated for two awards including Best New Artist.

R&B Singer Amerie is back to rocking out over big band production. Her staple sound fits her better than the jeans she's struttin' in. Amerie has premiered an accompanying music video on Christmas Eve for her latest single, "More Than Love," featuring some help from rapper Fabolous. "More Than Love" is the third single from Amerie's fourth studio album entitled "In Love & War." which is an ambitious collection of old-school jams, and has been in stores on November 3rd. Just in time for Christmas and its attendant depression/loneliness/frantic calls to therapists. she hands us a little bundle of trust issues in the new video for "More Than Love."
The video for the Del Pearson and Lenny Nicholson-produced track was directed by TAJ and shot in New York City. Simple and to the point, this video really encapsulates the message of the song. Although the extended narration at the beginning was quite tedious to endure, the rest of the clip served its purpose. The clip is very nice with a storyline that corresponds perfectly with the lyrics of the track, and the twist at the end of the videos is dope.
Amerie and Fabolous get their quarrel on in this new video, they are trying to save their broken relationship as narrated in the video. After going through a hectic schedule, Amerie, as seen in video, finally has a night for herself and Fabolous, her collaborator who plays her lover. But things do not go as she plans as he leaves abruptly, which then raises her curiosity. "I'm not sure I trust him with my heart anymore," she said. "Gonna take more than love to make this work." Amerie concludes as she considers the state of affairs in her fictional relationship with Fabolous. What unfolds is sort of the music video equivalent of Cheaters, with Amerie and her friends leafing through what appear to be incriminating photos of Fabolous cavorting with another woman. Should she trust him or not? We don't learn until the end, but the way Amerie wraps her raw, soulful vocals around the lyrics captures just how it feels to have the relationship on the line.
Amerie's old-skool-R&B flavoured album "In Love & War" never was going to appeal to the masses, but premiering the video to your new single about a difficult relationship, right around Christmas is quite a clever move. In addition to teaming up with Fabolous, Amerie also joins forces with Trey Songz in a song called "Pretty Brown" and hooks up with rap mogul Lil Wayne in the remix version of the album's lead single "Heard Em All."

The super talented Mary J. Blige premiered her brand new video via vevo.com for her most recent hit "I Am," the second single taken from her ninth studio album "Stronger WithEach Tear," which was just released through Universal on Monday, after being pushed back twice. Penned by Johnta Austin, features leading rapper T.I., singers Trey Songz and Drake. Blige is all about empowerment and says she wants her new album to be "a picture of strength." She told USA Today that "The things that I allowed to happen in the past will never, ever be allowed to happen again."
Blige has won nine Grammys, and has received the World Music Legends Award for hip hop and soul. As of 2008, she had sold over 48 million records worldwide. The Queen of R&B and Hip Hop Soul lets it be known that she's irreplaceable on her latest single "I Am," which confidently tells one's lover nobody can treat them better than the person they are with at the present time. Sounds pretty promising, and this sampler alone is a lot more relentlessly upbeat and packed with hit potential. She continues to represent for the Hip Hop and R&B scene, and build a brand that reaches beyond music, and is giving it another shot at chart success with this new single, produced by Stargate.
The video is simple and nice, and was directed by famed lensman, Anthony Mandler. Unlike certain other R&B-pop stars unveiling their new music video, Blige knows how to wistfully stroll down a beach with sophistication. In her video, Blige's showcases her vocals and rocks some pretty sweet full-length frocks while trying to convince her lover she's the best one out there.
The dynamic star has a lot to be proud of. In addition to putting out mega hits, she recently had a supporting role in Tyler Perry's movie "I Can Do Bad All By Myself," and will appear as a guest judge in the upcoming American Idol, Season 9. Blige has also landed her own reality show on BET that will feature her new foundation. She wants to air stories about how people are changing their lives just like music changed hers.

A Mash-up of Rihanna's notorious new videos set to the tune "Hard," which features rapper, Young Jeezy on the hook, will be premiering the entire video Today at 4p.m. on Viacom's MTV Networks, including MTV, VH1, Facebook, MySpace and singer's Web site to air it simultaneously. Rihanna will also be on hand to participate in the video premiere, by sending messages to her fans in multi-screen video premiere through online chat feature.
"Hard" is featured on Rihanna's recently released album "Rated R" which debuted at No.1 on Billboard's R&B chart. "Hard" was written and co-produced by The-Dream and Tricky Stewart. It's the second official single (replaced "Wait Your Turn") from album. Already exploding at radio, "Hard" was the No.1 most added record at both the pop and urban formats, and was the greatest gainer at rhythm. "Hard" was also performed live for the first time on November 8 at Jay-Z's concert at UCLA Pauley Pavilion.
Rihanna shot the video on the 2nd & 3rd of December. In Melina Matsoukas-directed video, Rihanna appears in military-inspired attire, she dressed in military garb and continues with the short hair, dark glasses and unique expressions of military wear, also opens up her fatigue shirt to flash the camera. "It's couture military," Rihanna recently told MTV News. "Everything is surrounded around the idea of something military. We have tanks, we have troops, we've got helicopters, we've got explosions. We've got lots of cute outfits, lots of bullets. It's crazy."

Taking scenes from a live show, R&B singer Trey Songz has just been released an official music video for the first single "One Love" on his Facebook page Tuesday. The single, produced by Bryan-Michael Cox and Johnta Austin, is off of Sexbomb's newest acclaimed third studio album "Ready," which was released on August 31, and peaked at No.3 on Billboard Hot 200 and is nominated for Best Contemporary R&B Album at the 2010 Grammy Awards.
Songz actually did something different and made the live version of the song into his newly-premiered video, which mostly highlights on the R&B performer as he is singing the song live with his band. I definitely love the concept behind this video. The live set brings and adds a much more intimate feel to the track. Simple and very classy. His vocals sound amazing and has improved a lot of the years. I love the live feel of this video have not seen that in a long time.
Songz is also going to include "One Love" music video in his new mini five-track collection "Up Close and Ready" EP, which is made available for digital purchase on iTunes started on December 8, and it includes live renditions of "One Love", "Can't Help But Wait", "Last Time", "I Need A Girl", and "Gotta Go" in addition to the "One Love" video! The video comes as a treat because it is unexpected. The EP should be a good way for him to prove that he has some talent beyond his six pack abs and hurricane tongue.
