Toni Braxton Dancing All Her Troubles Away In "I Heart You"

Posted by Kevin Z. Rong Friday, March 30, 2012

Ahead of tonight's "Braxton Family Values" reunion show, Toni Braxton just dropped her brand new video for her latest dance anthem, "I Heart You," the lead offering from the diva's upcoming seventh Lp, "Heartstrings & Synagogue Vibes," which she hopes to release in May. The Grammy Award-winning singer looks great as she dances to her self-produced fierce tune.
Finally making a comeback to music, the 44-year-old R&B veteran, who produced and wrote the uptempo cut "I Heart You," where Braxton's singing about her dancing all her troubles away, and showcasing her signature sultry vocals over a electro beat. The track is flawless! "When I wrote this song I was thinking about the feeling you get when you walk into a club and you hear the melody," Braxton said of the single. "You feel the beat and you just know it's going to be a good night."
Braxton previously said she was considering giving up music for good to focus on being a mother to her sons. After label woes, health and financial issues and a divorce, it's understandable that her music would take a backseat. However, I'm so glad she's had a change of heart. Welcome back! Braxton has previously told news that the song evokes hints of "Last Dance," the massive Donna Summer track. Braxton singing romance lyrics to a male suitor and sings of her urges to find happiness.
The Dancing With The Stars alum turns up the heat with a troupe of dancers, showing off not only her dance moves but vocals and body in her clubby new video, which was directed by Bille Woodruff. She rocks a variety of looks in the video, appearing first in a pink negligee, in an all-white room, contemplating a topless dude, with a fan tussling her wig. The visual takes a dramatic turn when the beat comes in, however, shifting to a dark club setting with a DJ and dance troupe, as Braxton sashays in a revealing tan dress, rocking garters, a jeweled headpiece, and later, a sequined bodysuit.
