The Def Jam group has been making waves on the radio. The fellas of the R&B singing group, Def Jam's sibling boy band, Brutha are back on the music scene and have premiered the video to their brand new R. Kelly-penned/produced single "One Day On This Earth," the lead single comes straight from the R&B quintet's upcoming sophomore album, "Vacancy," that is expected to hit stores late spring or early summer.
"One Day On This Earth" was written by R. Kelly and details the guys' dying romantic wish and the lucky lady who will be the bearer of their final gifts. The track is just a taste of how phenomenal their sophomore record, "Vacancy" is going to be when it hits this Spring! The music video was shot in Los Angeles by Rage. The boy band said: "We are definitely excited [about the new release]! We all have butterflies."
You also might remember these guys from their BET reality show Brothers to Brutha. "The show allowed us to create a pretty solid fan base because we had 1.2 to 1.5million viewers every week," says Jared who brings his love of hip-hop into Brutha's sound. "But I don't think the show really showed a lot of our musical side so now it's time to start focusing more on the music."
The five brothers that make up Def Jam's R&B super group Brutha were literally born to sing. While their first album was well received by their fans, Brutha pulled inspiration from a long weekend in Vegas, poppin' off doing what they gotta do, and is ready to show the world just how far they have come. Their sophomore album, "Vacancy" is an intimate reflection of their young, fly and flashy lifestyle. With production from contemporary greats like R. Kelly, "Vacancy" is a sexy ride in the fast lane told only the way Brutha can.
